Meet your Therapist and Co-Founder

SGT Glenda M. Medina obtained her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Columbia Community College in 2016. She enrolled in the US army in 2009 where she served with distinction, receiving a good conduct medal as well as an ARCOM (Army Commendation) Medal and the Army Achievement Medal for her bravery and conduct. During her service, Glenda trained and led a squad of five other soldiers. She was honorably discharged from the military in 2016. SGT Glenda M. Medina obtained her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Keiser University in May 2021.

 

Her passion for assisting at risk juveniles has led her to work in the mental health and social service field in various settings including care coordination, case management and mobile crisis intervention. Glenda has developed a strong affinity for providing guidance, mentorship and care for community members that are vulnerable and at-risk, especially juveniles.

 

Glenda provides a person-centered approach to her counseling, implementing varied skills that focus on self-actualization and self-understanding. Her nondirective style is genuine and allows clients to develop, feel empowered and implement proactive life choices.

 

Glenda also enjoys working with veterans, families in crisis and adolescent girls. Her experience with substance abuse, crisis and youth involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems is extensive having allowed her to develop a strong base from which to assist individuals and families.
